The CicloFest cyclotourism event celebrated its second edition in Montanejos, covering 113 kilometers and 2,001 meters of positive elevation gain through landscapes of the Alto Mijares and Maestrazgo, with 160 cyclists participating.

The Generalitat has approved the second edition of CicloFest, the cyclotourism event organized by the Montanejos Cycling Club, with the collaboration of Atlós Eventos, the Montanejos Tourism Foundation, and the sponsorship of the City Council. The event, held on the weekend of October 17th and 18th, combined sport and nature over a 113-kilometer route with 2,001 meters of positive elevation gain.
A total of 160 cyclists participated in the ride, which traversed fourteen municipalities in Castellón and Teruel. The event aimed to combine the sporting challenge with the discovery of the Alto Mijares region and its surroundings, promoting cyclotourism and showcasing inland towns as destinations for sports and nature.
In the men's category, Roberto Ruiz Sedano was the first to complete the course in 3 hours, 16 minutes, and 22 seconds, followed by Carlos Valdivieso Peñarrubia and Julio García Magdaleno, both at 3:22:28. In the women's category, Aida Beteta Corvillo took the top spot with 3:47:02, ahead of Alba Herrero Beltrán (3:55:57) and Marta Cabello Arias (3:55:58). The local podium consisted of José Sanz Gimeno, Raúl Villalba Tordera, and Julián Ramón Gracia.
Participants positively reviewed the route, organization, and aid stations. After crossing the finish line, they enjoyed a fideuà and attended the awards ceremony.
On Saturday afternoon, the MTB Family-Fest gathered 25 children and their families for children's cycling activities in the Machón area, followed by an afternoon gathering in the Town Hall square. The organization aimed to provide options for companions and families, extending the day beyond the sporting event.
The CronoFest, scheduled for Sunday morning, could not be held due to adverse weather conditions.
The organization expressed gratitude for the sponsorship of the Montanejos City Council and the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Castellón, volunteers, Civil Protection, Local Police, and Civil Guard Traffic. Preparations are already underway for the third edition of CicloFest, scheduled for October 16, 2027.
