The fire, which broke out on Friday, August 7, in the municipality of Tírig, was declared stabilized on Monday, August 10, in the afternoon. The decision was made after a meeting of the Integrated Operational Coordination Center (CECOPI) at the Advanced Command Post. The fire has affected an area of 754 hectares and has a perimeter of 22.8 kilometers. Although stabilized, the fire remains active, and personnel are working towards its control and subsequent extinction.
The improved situation has allowed for the removal of citizen protection measures. Around 1:00 PM on Monday, the evacuation order for the municipality of Catí was lifted. Currently, there are no active evacuation or confinement orders related to this fire. Authorities urge caution and ask the public not to approach the affected perimeter, respecting the instructions of the Guardia Civil and emergency services.
The Military Emergencies Unit (UME) is beginning its redeployment to the base in Bétera, as explained by the Government delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé. This reduction in resources is due to the fire's stabilization. Bernabé highlighted the effective coordination among the various administrations and emergency services involved.
The Government delegate warned that the risk of forest fires will remain high in the coming days in the Valencian Community. Additionally, increased mobility is expected due to the eclipse, prompting a call for extreme caution and adherence to restrictions.
