The Ibi City Council, through its Tourism department, is participating once again in Alicante Gastronómica, held from October 2nd to 5th at IFA, accompanied by representatives from the local hospitality and gastronomy sector.
The town of Ibi will be present at Alicante Gastronómica, a significant gastronomic gathering that will bring together professionals and food enthusiasts from October 2nd to 5th at the IFA exhibition center. Ibi's participation is supported by a delegation from the local hospitality and gastronomic communities.
The mayor of Ibi, Sergio Carrasco, and the Deputy Mayor for Tourism, Paula Peidró, will attend the opening day. The event, spanning over 36,000 square meters, will feature more than 130 Michelin Stars and Repsol Suns, and over 260 exhibitors, offering talks, workshops, and tastings.
Ibi's institutional stand, located in Pavilion 2, will showcase the town's gastronomic offerings through showcookings, workshops, and tastings, emphasizing traditional cuisine, local specialties, and proximity products.
As part of the program, the Grup de Danses d’Ibi will present the book La Cuina Tradicional d’Ibi. Additionally, La Despensa de Andrés will participate in the 'Experiential Tastings' at the Cheese Aula, alongside El Refugio de la Cerveza and Panettones Raúl Asencio.
On Friday, October 2nd, Carlos Mariel and Jesús Machi will host the workshop “Mediterranean Four Hands: Tradition, Fermentation, and Healthy Pastries,” followed by the presentation “Signature Pizza and New Trends” by Pablo Huertas and Santi Mariel from Pizzería Mariu.
On Saturday, October 3rd, Carlos Mariel will participate in the “Children's Bread Doll Workshop” and serve as a judge for the Monas and Toñas competition. Fidel Rico, from Pastelería Rico, will lead the “Chocolate Workshop for Children”.
On Monday, October 5th, the Restaurant Erre que Erre will prepare its dish “Llegumet d’Ibi.” The Grup de Danses d’Ibi will conduct the “Preparation and Tasting of Saginosa,” and the Asociación Cultural del Helado Ibense will offer the preparation and tasting of mantecado, accompanied by black lemon water.
