The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has declared an orange alert level, with significant risk, in the Alfara del Patriarca area, anticipating precipitation that could reach 160 liters per square meter in 12 hours.
Consequently, and while the orange alert remains in effect, expected until Friday, October 2nd, several preventive measures have been adopted. These include the suspension of all educational activities in the municipality, the closure of the Municipal Sports Center, the suspension of outdoor sports activities, and the closure of parks and gardens.
These measures will remain in effect until the orange alert decreed by the meteorological agency concludes.
The City Council recommends that citizens exercise extreme caution, adopt necessary safety measures, and follow the evolution of the storm through media and official channels. Special caution is advised in flood-prone areas and streets, and it is suggested to remove or secure objects that could be swept away by wind or water, as well as to check home elements that may pose a risk.
The Alfara del Patriarca City Council has reported that it is working and coordinating the necessary resources to minimize risks and ensure citizen safety in the face of the meteorological situation.
