The Alcoi City Council received new radio communication equipment for the Local Police force on July 17, 2026. The acquisition, made under a leasing agreement, includes TETRA radio terminals and associated services from the COMDES Network of the Valencian Government. These devices integrate into the Generalitat's telecommunications infrastructure, designed to ensure secure and prioritized communications for emergency and public safety services.
The awarded contract has a total budget of 100,146.32 euros, including VAT. The new technological equipment consists of 76 portable radio terminal kits for officers, 4 mobile radio terminal kits for vehicles, and 3 fixed radio terminal kits for the communication center. All cabling and equipment have been properly installed at the police facilities on Carrer de la Casa Blanca.
Following an inspection by the chief superintendent, the comptroller, the company representative, and the area councilor, conformity was given upon confirming that all elements are brand new and meet the required specifications.
The Councilor for Citizen Security, Raül Llopis, has positively assessed this technological modernization. "This investment allows us to take a step forward in protecting our city, betting on efficiency and the peace of mind of our residents," he stated. "We continue working to equip our public services with the best capabilities, as coordinated response is fundamental for the well-being of all of Alcoi's citizens".
