The Alcoy City Council held a meeting of the Emergency Coordination and Alert Center (CECOPAL) today to monitor the predicted weather situation for the day. The meeting was attended by the mayor, Toni Francés, the deputy mayor, Àlex Cerradelo, the Councilor for Youth, Carles Sansalvador, the Councilor for Emergencies, Raül Llopis, as well as representatives from various municipal departments, Civil Protection, and the concert organization.
It has been agreed to delay the concert's start by one hour, so it will take place between 10 PM and 1 AM. Access to the venue will open from 8:30 PM to ensure safety. This measure aims to address forecasts indicating the possibility of thermal shocks, particularly between 5 PM and 8 PM.
Continuous monitoring of weather conditions will be maintained to adopt necessary decisions. According to the Councilor for Youth, Carles Sansalvador, "the most important thing is to guarantee the safety of all attendees, artists, workers, and the organization."
The concert's security deployment will include Local Police, National Police, Civil Protection, Vectalia personnel inside, a Violet Point, and a Red Cross team. There will also be bars, portable restrooms, cleaning reinforcements, and recycling points.
The City Council encourages attendees to enjoy the concert and will provide timely updates through its official channels, reminding everyone of the importance of following the instructions from the organization and emergency services.
