L'Alcora concluded its festivities in honor of Sant Cristòfol, patron saint of drivers, this Sunday with notable participation thanks to a reinforced program by the City Council that included popular events, music, and bull activities.

The celebrations began on Thursday with children's activities in Plaça la Sang. On Friday, Font Nova was the setting for the traditional river crossing, recreating ancestral customs, while Enrique Salvador, president of the Coordinator of Cultural Associations of L'Alcalatén and Neighborhoods of L'Alcora, narrated the patron saint's history with the 'Auca del Sant'.
Friday afternoon saw the inauguration of the Sant Cristòfol Fair, which this year featured a photographic exhibition for the centenary of Font de la Sang. Subsequently, the traditional 'cremà dels ninots' (burning of the figures) took place, an emblematic event that paraded through the neighborhoods of la Bàscula, Sant Salvador, and la Sang, with the participation of the Colla de Dolçainers i Tabaleters l’Alcalatén and users from the Casal Jove.
As novelties, the Sant Cristòfol site hosted a concert by the clarinet quartet Clariventum for the first time, and the portable stage hosted an equestrian show organized with the La Ferradura Equestrian Club, followed by bull activities and a mobile disco.
Saturday saw the highest participation, with a 'novellada' (bullfighting practice) for the XVIII Manolo Madrid Trophy on the portable stage, a performance by the Agrupació Musical l’Alcalatén, bull activities, and the band Los Maquis. Nearly 1,000 people attended the traditional 'pa i porta' (bring your own food) dinner, before the Grand Prix contest and music by Bandalay.
The festivities concluded on Sunday with the traditional blessing and procession of vehicles, and a mass at the hermitage, organized by the Junta de Sant Cristòfol, marking the end of celebrations that have successfully blended tradition with new offerings.
