Metrovalencia surpassed 6.6 million passengers transported during July on its metro and tram network, representing a 6.22% increase compared to the same month last year. In contrast, the TRAM of Alicante counted 1.7 million users, experiencing a 2.48% decrease compared to July 2025.
Meanwhile, the TRAM of Castelló reached 242,180 passengers in July 2026, a 9.63% increase from the previous year, with a total of 7,084 trips made on the reserved-track transport.
Overall, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) recorded 8,381,545 journeys between Metrovalencia and the TRAM of Alicante in July, a global increase of 4.33% compared to the previous year.
The six metro lines of Metrovalencia accumulated 5,676,633 journeys, while the four tram lines registered 1,002,710 movements. The busiest day was Wednesday, July 1st, with 261,944 trips.
Metro Line 3 (Rafelbunyol-Airport) was the most used with 1,508,788 journeys, followed by Line 1 (Bétera-Castelló) with 1,025,380 users, and Line 2 (Llíria-Torrent Avinguda) with 1,023,226.
Regarding stations, Xàtiva (lines 3, 5, and 9) led with 447,346 journeys, followed by Colón (lines 3, 5, 7, and 9) with 381,077, and Plaça Espanya (lines 1 and 2) with 260,660.
On the TRAM of Alicante, Line 2 (Luceros-San Vicent del Raspeig) was the most in-demand with 607,768 movements, and Line 1 (Luceros-Benidorm) registered 370,570 users.
The Alicante stations with the highest passenger traffic were Luceros (285,394 passengers), Mercado (180,637), Benidorm (105,285), and Marq-Castillo (95,225). Sant Vicent del Raspeig added 79,147 travelers.
