The CV MARQ Foundation has presented the MARQ Educational Guide for the 2026-27 academic year, aimed at the educational community in the province of Alicante. The program includes activities from the museum, as well as from the archaeological sites and monuments managed by the Provincial Council of Alicante.
The Deputy of Culture and Vice-President of the CV MARQ Foundation, Juan de Dios Navarro Caballero, highlighted that the educational offering provides teachers of early childhood, primary, and secondary education with tools to bring history and cultural heritage closer to their students.
The didactic proposal covers from Prehistory to the Modern Age, featuring games, stories, videos, and adapted workshops. This year, the international exhibition “Gold and the Universe. Indigenous Knowledge from Colombia” is included, running until May 2, 2027.
The Didactics Unit has designed educational projects for schools, aiming to enrich the pedagogical experience and explore the world of archaeology and past civilizations.
During the presentation, the director of MARQ, Manuel Olcina, and the managing director of the CV MARQ Foundation, Josep Albert Cortés, offered Teacher Training Workshops. These workshops, recognized by the Conselleria d'Educació de la Generalitat Valenciana, will be led by archaeologists Teresa Ximénez and Adoració Martínez, focusing on research projects at the “Cabezo Molino” (Rojales) and La Illeta (El Campello) sites.
