The sixth edition of the Fresca! Festival, organized by the Institut Valencià de Cultura (IVC) in Alicante, has concluded with a successful turnout, recording 90% occupancy and a 12% increase compared to the previous year.

The festival, held from July 13 to 25, has surpassed all expectations in its sixth iteration. Over eleven days, the cultural event attracted 12% more attendees than the previous year, achieving an audience share of 90%, the highest since its inception. The main venue, Casa Mediterráneo, sold out for five of the nine scheduled performances, which spanned disciplines such as dance, circus, flamenco, and theater.
The program featured a mix of performances by Valencian companies and IVC's own productions, alongside national and international acts. In addition to the nine large-format shows at Casa Mediterráneo, two free dance and circus performances were held as part of the 'Fresca! Al carrer' initiative, now in its second year at the Diputación Gardens.
Ana Bonmatí, territorial delegate for the IVC in Alicante, expressed her satisfaction with the results. "The response, both in ticket sales and attendee feedback, reflects the interest generated by the performing arts program," she stated, highlighting the festival's consolidation in the city.
Regarding season tickets, 156 units were sold. The 'Abonaments de Categoria,' which grant access to all large-format programming, increased by 25% to 66 units. The 'Abonament Refresc,' valid for three shows, was purchased by 90 individuals.
The 'Espai Frescoreta!' section, aimed at families, also sold out all its sessions, demonstrating the broad appeal and success of the event.
