FRESCA! Festival fills Casa Mediterráneo with performing arts

From July 17 to 25, Alicante hosts dance, theater, circus, and flamenco in an open-air auditorium.

Casa Mediterráneo transforms into an open-air auditorium to host the FRESCA! Festival, organized by the Institut Valencià de Cultura (IVC), with performances from July 17 to 25.

The summer season brings the return of the Performing Arts Festival FRESCA! to Casa Mediterráneo, organized by the Institut Valencià de Cultura (IVC). The institution's emblematic platform will become an open-air auditorium to enjoy the best dance, theater, contemporary circus, and flamenco from July 17 to 25.
The Casa Mediterráneo venue will host the Festival's two main stages: FRESCA! and FRESCORETA!. The former will feature five large-format, high-artistic-level shows. The program includes performances such as LAS HIJAS DE BERNARDA by Taiat Dansa, TEATRO DELUSIO by the prestigious German company Familie Flöz, LOS LOCOS DE VALENCIA from the IVC itself, SÍSIFOS by UpArte, awarded Best Contemporary Circus Show, and PARAÍSO DE LOS NEGROS by the renowned choreographer María Pagés.
Meanwhile, FRESCORETA! will offer four events at 8:00 PM for all audiences, featuring circus, clown, and gestural theater. Highlights include DOMINARE by Cia. Maduixa, FINS AL CEL by Spinish Circo, FORAT by Dudu Arnalot (former Cirque du Soleil clown), and GOTA by Txema Muñoz, winner of the Max Award 2026.
As a prelude, the Gardens of the Diputación de Alicante will host two performances: LIEBE by Titoyaya Dansa and EIRENÊ. BAJO LA CARPA DEL CIELO by La Troupe Malabó.
The festival maintains previous editions' ticket prices, ranging from €5 to €24. FRESCORETA! performances will have a single price of €5. Season tickets and discounts for young people, seniors, the unemployed, large families, and performing arts professionals are also available.
