The aim of this initiative is to move towards a more ecological future from the classroom, encouraging reflection on the origin of food and the importance of daily decisions for a more sustainable future. The workshops have allowed students to learn about the benefits of organic production and its relationship with environmental care.
The collaboration of educational centers and their communities has been key to bringing this proposal to different towns in the province, promoting environmental education and sparking students' interest in organic production.
The 21 participating centers are: CEIP La Purísima (Beniardà), CEIP Azorín (Monóvar), CEIP Virgen del Remedio (Algueña), CRA La Rectoria (Ràfol d’Almúnia / Sanet), CEIP Alfonso X “El Sabio” (Novelda), CEIP Joanot Martorell (Sagra), CEIP Els Secanets (Benimeli), CEIP Virgen del Rosario (Salinas), CEIP Dr. Calatayud (Aspe), CEIP Jorge Juan (Novelda), CEIP Escoles Noves (Crevillent), CEIP Virgen de las Virtudes (Cox), CEIP El Vincle (El Campello), CEIP Castell del Pop (Murla), CEIP Poeta Miguel Hernández (Rojales), CEIP Alberto Sols (Sax), CEIP Port de Xàbia (Puerto de Xàbia), CEIP Virgen de Belén (Jacarilla), CEIP Velens i Vents (L’Alfàs del Pi), CEIP San Pedro Apóstol (Granja de Rocamora), and CEIP Dr. Francisco Mas Magro (Crevillent).
