The project, with a budget of 3.3 million euros, marks a decisive step towards the opening of this cultural infrastructure. The work is divided into two main lots: the first, for private security and auxiliary services, worth 2,388,601 euros, and the second, for comprehensive facility maintenance, valued at 780,404 euros. The contract will last for two years, with the possibility of three one-year extensions.
The building's rehabilitation, which took three years, was made possible by a 13 million euro investment from European funds. The council expects the center to open its doors by the end of the year with a program featuring internationally renowned art collections.
Furthermore, an ordinance project regulating museum access has been approved. The proposal sets a general price of 10 euros, with reduced rates of 5 euros for groups such as large families, young people, and those over 65. Free access is also planned for children under 10 and people with disabilities, in addition to free entry on Tuesday afternoons.
