This initiative, supported by Casa Mediterráneo and other institutions, brought together artists from Morocco and various Arab nations alongside Valencian and Spanish creators. The aim was to strengthen ties and promote cultural exchange.
Organized by the Moroccan Association Kasbah del Artiste and Tercer Tiempo Intercultural, the program combined workshops, conferences, cultural visits, excursions, exhibitions, and debates, using artistic creation as a tool for dialogue and mutual understanding.
Activities took place across different locations in the province of Alicante. The inauguration was held at the La Valona Cultural Center of the Miguel Hernández University in Elche, featuring workshops on Arabic calligraphy and photography. The program also included cultural visits, outdoor watercolor sessions, and activities at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Altea.
The Alicante Museum of Contemporary Art (MACA) hosted the symposium on art, while Espacio Séneca served as the venue for workshops on theater-therapy, free painting, and photography, as well as the collective exhibition of works created during the encounter.
Among the participants and organizers of this edition were Youssef Nait Belaid, Vice-Dean of the Mohammed V University of Rabat; Nourdine Tabbai, President of the Association La Kasbah del Artista de Marruecos and director of the symposium; and Natalia Molinos Navarro, coordinator of the event.
