The Alicante City Council has opened a new call for subsidies aimed at improving the competitiveness of commercial and hospitality establishments, as well as municipal markets and street markets.

The main objective of this call is to promote the improvement and modernization of the trade and hospitality sectors, as well as to revitalize the city's commercial areas. Aid will be granted to projects developed by representative associations of these sectors, which seek to boost the vitality of Alicante with the involvement of its surroundings.
The subsidizable period for carrying out the actions ranges from January 1 to November 30, 2026. Eligible beneficiaries include legally constituted, non-profit, and active associations that primarily group trade, hospitality, and gastronomy establishments, or municipal market vendors. These associations must have their registered office and fiscal domicile in the municipality of Alicante, have at least 30 associated establishments in operation, and ensure that their president and 80% of the board of directors are active in the sector.
Furthermore, beneficiaries must be up-to-date with their tax and Social Security obligations and not be indebted to the municipal treasury. They must also comply with the prohibitions established in Article 13 of the General Subsidy Law.
Applications will be processed electronically through the electronic headquarters of the Alicante City Council, in the Commerce section. For digital processing, a digital certificate as a legal representative is required. For inquiries or clarifications, please contact via email at comercio@alicante.es.
