The mayor of Elda, Rubén Alfaro, accompanied by the Councilor for Social Welfare, David Guardiola, and the president of AMFI, Patro Rodríguez, visited today the property located on Jardines street. This space, which will bear the name of the recently deceased Andrés Molina, will have an area of 1,400 square meters distributed across a ground floor, basement, and two upper levels.
The mayor highlighted the council's excitement to see Andrés Molina's goal of having a day center realized. Alfaro emphasized that the new facilities will be enjoyed by the entire city and its users, recalling Andrés Molina and AMFI's connection to job creation, but focusing on his primary wish: a day center.
Rubén Alfaro stressed that this is the legacy left by Andrés Molina, and called for collaboration from the AMFI Association, led by Patro Rodríguez, the Foundation, the City Council, and other public institutions to support the project. Its strategic location, opposite the Castelar Theater and next to the Casino, will make the center a benchmark for Elda and the region in the coming years.
For her part, Patro Rodríguez expressed her emotion, feeling Andrés Molina's presence despite his physical absence. She recalled how, from the first visit to the building, Molina identified it as the ideal location for AMFI's day center, due to its location and size.
The president of AMFI detailed that the facilities will accommodate young people from the age of 21 who need a daytime space, also providing respite for their families. Andrés Molina's wish was for the center to remain open on weekends, offering cultural and leisure activities such as exhibitions and performances to continue their development.
