The Summer Schools organized by the Education and Sports departments of the Petrer City Council are experiencing high participation and a satisfactory development of the planned activities. This service has become a fundamental resource for families during the summer period.
The Councilor for Education and Sports, Patricia Martínez, highlighted the response to families' needs, offering a safe, educational, and fun space for the little ones while their parents continue working.
The Education Summer School hosts around 500 students in the 9 d’Octubre and Reyes Católicos schools, as well as the Els Peixos Municipal Children's School for the youngest (from two years old). This school will conclude on July 24th.
Meanwhile, the Sports Summer School has 200 participants at the Municipal Sports Center, combining sports activities with water games at the summer pool. This school's program will end on July 31st.
Throughout these weeks, participants are enjoying a diverse program that includes creative workshops, crafts, water games, outdoor activities, excursions, and theater, promoting coexistence, learning, and healthy leisure.
Martínez emphasized that the goal is to offer an enriching experience, fostering values such as coexistence, teamwork, creativity, and healthy habits.
The councilor thanked the work of the monitors and all involved individuals, highlighting the professionalism that ensures the smooth running of activities and the quality of the service.
