The L'Eliana City Council has stated its position regarding the proposal to build an underpass to improve connectivity on both sides of the Metrovalencia tracks at the station level, rejecting the sole option presented by the Generalitat.

Following a meeting on October 27th with the Directorate General of Land Transport Infrastructure of the Generalitat Valenciana, the council has positively assessed the technical work but regretted that other alternatives advocated by the municipality and citizens since Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) unilaterally restricted passage in December 2024 have been overlooked.
Given the proposal for a pedestrian underpass, the City Council has urged the Conselleria to consider more logical, safe, and less damaging alternatives, starting with burying the line as it passes through the central station. This action should be included in FGV's Action Plan, as has been done in other stations such as Burjassot-Godella, Paterna, or Benimàmet.
The council insists that the simplest, most economical, and effective solution involves reversing the situation and maintaining the pedestrian level crossing—used for over 133 years—by formally including it in the Catalogue and equipping it with advanced active safety measures. Questions have been raised about why unrestricted passage is permitted at other stations like four stations in Paterna, La Cañada crossings, La Vallesa station, or El Clot, while denying the right to mobility to the residents of L'Eliana.
The governing team has emphasized that people's safety must always be the fundamental pillar, but any proposed solution requires detailed analysis and consensus with the affected residents.
