The festive day began with the opening of the gates of the Hort de les Alfàbegues, initiating a route of over four hours. Eight 'Alfàbegues' accompanied the First Single Obrera, Mireia García Ricart, and the other eight accompanied the Second Single Obrera, Daniela Ferriol Fuentes. Both paraded through the streets of Bétera under their traditional hand-embroidered parasols, accompanied by their bearers.
The mayor of Bétera, Elia Verdevío, highlighted the value of the Alfàbegues as "the most representative and beloved symbol for all the people of Bétera, an icon inextricably linked to tradition and the highest representatives of our Festivals".
This year, the 'Va de Dones' initiative, promoted by the City Council, has given an even more emotional dimension to the 'Rodà'. For the first time in history, the 16 'Alfàbegues' have been baptized with women's names, in tribute to the Obreras of 2026, their families, and key figures in the municipality's history and culture.
The Single Obreras dazzled in spectacular handmade traditional dresses. The First Single Obrera, Mireia García Ricart, wore a pearl white dress, while the Second Single Obrera, Daniela Ferriol Fuentes, chose champagne color. The Mayorales 2026 completed the attire with floral shirts and embroidered scarves.
The representation of political, civil, military, festive, and associative authorities was significant, including the second vice-president of the Diputació de València, Reme Mazzolari, and the general director of Diversity of the Generalitat Valenciana, Stephane Soriano.
One of the most distinctive elements of the 'Rodà' is the confetti, with 11,600 kilos covering the streets. The Mayorales are responsible for showering attendees with confetti to highlight the beauty of the Single Obreras. This year, 9,000 kilos were distributed, and 2,000 kilos of red confetti were launched in the Placeta del Sol.
Upon arrival at the Plaza de la Iglesia, the Married Obreras, Nathalie Martínez Arnal and Gely Garañana Escribano, received the Single Obreras to jointly enter the Parish of the Purísima Concepción and offer the 16 'Alfàbegues' to the Virgin.
The festive day will continue with the Procession in honor of the Virgen de la Asunción and the 'Coet de Luxe'. In the early morning, the Mayorales 2026 and four firework groups will perform a monumental 'Cordà' of 400 meters with almost 100 kilos of gunpowder, described as "the only Cordà in Spain performed on a rope".
