For three days, participants from the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Portugal, Latvia, Romania, and Ukraine are gathering to reflect on cultural heritage and the fundamental role of women in its preservation and transmission, using art, creativity, gastronomy, music, and traditions as focal points.
The event began with practical activities such as a nature cyanotype workshop and a visit to Prati delle Pars, followed by the inauguration of an exhibition. The second day focused on the relationship between women, heritage, gastronomy, art, and music, including a visit to Portogruaro to learn about local traditions and a Venetian cooking workshop.
The program continued with an artistic session dedicated to creating artist books and a poetry reading by authors from participating countries. The day concluded with a concert honoring composers Ethel Smyth and Miriam Hyde.
The final session includes a creative workshop where attendees will express words, symbols, and images related to women and art to form a collective mural. This artwork aims to symbolize the union between cultures and generations.
Through this participation, Benaguasil strengthens its presence in European projects, exchanging experiences and establishing connections with international municipalities and entities. The initiative allows the municipality to be part of European efforts for culture, heritage, and equality, while also promoting the locality.
