The Ombudsman has dismissed the complaint against Elche City Council, confirming the municipal government's transparency in handling public information requests submitted between March and May.

The Valencian institution has closed the complaint file against Elche City Council, after verifying that all requested public information has been provided. The ruling confirms the municipal government's transparency regarding requests submitted between March and May of this year.
The spokesperson for the municipal government, Inma Mora, highlighted that the closure of this file by the Ombudsman vindicates them and validates the good work carried out by the municipal government in terms of information and total transparency in the required documentation. According to Mora, “we are a transparent government and the Ombudsman itself has proven us right”.
The institution considers that Elche City Council has provided the requested information through the submissions made during March and May, therefore agreeing to close the case.
Furthermore, it was noted that almost all of the approximately 600 information requests and entry/exit record applications made from September 1, 2025, to July 2026, many of them duplicates, have been answered by the municipal government.
