The Santa Pola City Council has presented the Vidas plenas. Santa Pola, comunidad y bienestar program, an initiative offering health, sports, and cultural activities for seniors throughout the month of October.

The program, promoted by the Department of Social Services, aims to highlight the role of seniors in society and promote active and healthy aging. Proposals include cognitive stimulation workshops, physical activities, and meeting spaces to improve the quality of life for participants.
Activities will begin with the Open House Week at the La Senia Senior Center, taking place from September 28 to October 4. During this period, citizens will be able to learn firsthand about the resources and services offered at this municipal space.
Among the highlights, a body balance session will be held on October 1 at the Glorieta, while a health day will take place on October 6 at the Gran Alacant Health Center. Additionally, on October 3, the El Palmeral Auditorium will host the Alzheimer's Gala, which will include the III Spanish Dance and Song Festival.
All activities are free, although some require prior registration. Interested individuals can formalize their participation at the corresponding centers or via email at participa@santapola.es.
