The event, inaugurated by the UMH's manager, Emma Benlloch; the Vice-Rector for Infrastructures, Pedro Ginés Vicente Quiles; the Deputy Manager for Information Technologies, Tomás Sempere Gallar; and the Director of the Quality Service, David León Espí, highlighted the pursuit of new ways of working and the improvement of university management.
Following an initial assessment, the Innovation Advisory Committee will analyze the initiatives and select up to 15 finalists on October 7th. These proposals will receive a prize of 700 euros and participate in the Outdoor Day on October 16th, fostering coexistence and teamwork.
Subsequently, a jury will choose up to four winning proposals on October 21st, with an additional prize of 1,500 euros each, and an honorable mention of 500 euros is also considered. This edition is part of the AGILIZA Plan (2026-2028), driven by the Rector and the UMH Management, to simplify administration and modernize university management.
The proposals aim to eliminate bureaucratic burdens, promote efficient digitalization, and build a more agile and innovative university. They encompass the simplification of administrative processes, digital transformation, and the development of new tools to facilitate daily work.
The Week of Innovation, managed by the Quality Service, seeks to consolidate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, giving voice to the knowledge and experience of the PTGAS to identify ideas that add value to the university community.
