The new university campus, inaugurated yesterday with the presence of the UMH Vice-Rector for Students and Coordination, José Juan López, features 12 classrooms of various capacities, a meeting room, offices for management and faculty, academic coordination spaces, a multipurpose room, common areas for students, and a university agora on the rooftop. The facilities have a combined capacity exceeding 430 students, which will significantly increase university courses and activities in Torrevieja.
During its first year, the UMH will offer permanent training courses and micro-credentials at this campus, alongside part of its summer and winter course programs, and university extension courses. A Eureka! Music and Science event will also be held, and the Museum of Didactic and Interactive Science (MUDIC), located on the Orihuela-Desamparados campus, will conduct various activities. The Science Park will host entrepreneurship workshops, and the Language Laboratory will offer English and Spanish courses for foreigners.
For the second year of collaboration between the UMH and the Torrevieja City Council, the University plans to offer its University Classrooms of Experience (AUNEX) and the Official Dual Degree in Business Administration and Tourism Management, through its affiliated center IMEP.
