The objective of this edition is to double the number of attending couples compared to previous years, increasing from the 30 celebrated at the Congress Center to the 70 planned for this event. The councilor for the area, Aurora Rodil, emphasized that the aim is to "honor couples from the municipality who have been together for half a century, as 50 years of marriage is an extraordinary milestone that deserves recognition and celebration".
The registration period for interested couples will begin on Monday, August 10th, and will conclude on August 30th. Applications must be submitted via email to mayores@elche.es, providing the full names, ID numbers of both members, contact phone numbers, and using "Bodas de Oro 2026" as the subject.
