Over the coming days, Elche will host a series of events requiring modifications to traffic circulation and parking in various areas. These events include a flower offering in Los Balsares, the setup of the 'barraca Popular', end-of-course parties, cinema screenings, pilgrimages, and concerts.
On Friday, July 31, work will begin on setting up the 'barraca Popular' in the surface parking lot of the UMH, leading to a parking ban from 07:00 AM. On the same day, Plaça Pilar Miró will be affected by an end-of-course party from 07:00 AM to 02:00 PM. In the afternoon, a cinema screening will take place in Plaça Major del Raval, with potential restrictions in the adjacent plot.
August 1 will be marked by various activities. In the morning, there will be an event with extended hours in the parking lot behind the La Marina social center. In the afternoon, a pilgrimage in honor of Santa Marta will occur, with closures on Camino de la Alcoraya starting at 5:00 PM. In the evening, a concert will be held at the Recinto de l’Escorxador, affecting the motorcycle parking area, and a parade with a 'vesta' announcement will tour several central streets like Plaça de Baix and Corredora.
Finally, on August 4, a visit to the archaeological site of La Alcudia is planned, with restrictions on the access road from 3:00 PM. Most of these closures and parking bans will extend until the end of the events.
