Elche allocates over 400,000 euros to festive entities to promote traditions

The city council has formalized agreements with twelve local groups to ensure cultural promotion.

The Elche City Council formalized collaboration agreements this Friday with twelve festive entities in the municipality for the 2026 fiscal year, with a total investment of 419,875 euros for cultural promotion.

The funds are intended for groups that work throughout the year on the conservation of local festivities. Among the beneficiary entities are the Federación Gestora de Festejos Populares, the Junta Mayor de Cofradías y Hermandades de Semana Santa, the Asociación Festera de Moros y Cristianos, and the Sociedad Venida de la Virgen.
Support was also provided to the Unió de Festers del Camp d'Elx, the Asociación de Belenistas, the Asociación Histórico-Artística Pobladores de Elche, the Mayordomía del Corpus Christi, the Comunidad Andaluza, the Centro Aragonés, the Cofradía de la Virgen de los Dolores, and the Asociación Amigos del Arroz con Costra.
