The city of Elche is preparing for the 18th edition of the 'Elx al Carrer' festival, which will fill squares and streets with culture on September 11, 12, 18, and 19.

The association Elx Viu al Carrer, in collaboration with the Elche City Council, is organizing a new edition of the ‘Elx al Carrer’ festival. This year, the event reaches its 18th edition, bringing cultural activities and performances to various public spaces in the city.
The Councilor for Youth, María Bonmatí, has detailed that the festival will take place over two weekends: September 11, 12, 18, and 19. Bonmatí expressed the City Council's pride in the event's long-standing presence and its positive reception among Elche residents.
The Elche City Council supports this initiative with an agreement worth 30,000 euros. The councilor encouraged citizens to participate and enjoy the scheduled events.
According to Pablo Tortosa, the festival's programmer and technical director, approximately thirty activities, performances, and workshops are planned. These will be held in locations such as Plaza de Baix, Plaza del Centro de Congresos, La Glorieta, Traspalacio, the Municipal Park, and the Eres de Santa Llucía.
