Wearing green t-shirts and accompanied by the La Marina Music Band and the Lavatorio Drums and Bass Drum Band, the festival-goers paraded through several city streets from Sector V to Plaça de Baix, where the speech took place. During the march, they chanted slogans such as "you can feel it, the countryside is present" and "we come from the countryside, we live the festival," showcasing their vitality and festive spirit.
Plaça de Baix filled with a large "green tide" that livened up the night until the speech began. The various festival officials were presented, receiving applause especially for the child queen, Aroa Durá Quiles, from the Valverde commission, and Esther Pradera Martínez, from Ángel de la Guarda Algoda-Pusol.
The speaker, Josan Ferrández, emphasized that "the festival is alive within each of us" and recalled his connection to the city, which allowed him to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional player. He highlighted that "Elche's festivals are also top-tier" and encouraged attendees to experience the festival intensely.
At the end of the events, Andrés Coves, president of the Unió de Festers del Camp d’Elx (Ufece), expressed the countryside's involvement in the festivals and thanked the speaker for mentioning El Camp d’Elx, stressing the importance of feeling represented. He concluded by calling for the enjoyment of the festivals in harmony.
Ufece will also host the inauguration of its 'racó' (gathering spot) on the 11th, which will be open until the 15th, serving as a meeting point with the collaboration of local restaurants and businesses. Additionally, on the 11th, there will be a nighttime 'mascletà' (fireworks display), and on the 13th, a parade with 'dolçaina i tabalet' (traditional instruments). Ufece's activities will conclude on the 15th with participation in the traditional procession of the Virgin.
