The Department of Social Welfare of Orihuela City Council has launched the Ecohogar training program, an initiative designed to provide families in vulnerable situations with practical tools to optimize the management of their supplies and household economy.

The project, which continues the work carried out over the last two years regarding energy poverty, seeks to offer useful knowledge for daily life. Through weekly sessions, participants will be able to learn how to interpret water, electricity, and gas bills, as well as identify variations in daily expenses.
As explained by the Department of Social Welfare, the goal is to provide resources that promote family autonomy. In addition to training in responsible consumption, the program will provide information on bonuses and public aid available to face financial contingencies.

"We want to offer useful and practical tools that they can apply in their day-to-day lives and that help them better manage both their supplies and their family economy."
