The Thermal Comfort Plan, promoted by the Generalitat in Orihuela, has a total investment of 295,500 euros. This initiative seeks to enhance the environmental conditions of school facilities, thereby benefiting students, teachers, and the wider educational community.
The investment reaches a total of 30 public educational centers in the municipality, enabling the adaptation of spaces to high temperatures and moving towards more comfortable and suitable facilities for teaching activities. The economic distribution is divided into three blocks: 59,000 euros for four centers in Orihuela Costa; 126,000 euros for centers of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Special Education, and Adult Education in the urban area and its districts; and 110,500 euros for centers of Secondary Education, Vocational Training, and special regime studies.
Aid for Orihuela Costa is distributed among CEIP Los Dolses (15,000 euros), CEIP Playas de Orihuela (14,000 euros), CEIP Número 20 (9,000 euros), and IES Playa Flamenca (21,000 euros).
For centers of Early Childhood, Primary, Special Education, and Adult Education in the urban area and districts, the allocated amounts include CEIP Miguel Hernández (10,000 euros), CEIP Fernando de Loaces (9,500 euros), CEIP Virgen de la Puerta (8,500 euros), CEE Antonio Sequeros (7,500 euros), CEIP Virgen de los Desamparados (7,500 euros), CEIP Josefina Manresa (7,000 euros), CEIP Maestro Ismael García (7,000 euros), CEIP Nuestra Señora de Belén (6,000 euros), Centro Público FPA Orihuela (6,000 euros), CRA Azahar (6,000 euros), CEIP Andrés Manjón (5,500 euros), CEIP San Bartolomé (5,500 euros), CEIP Francisco Girona (5,000 euros), CEIP Rincón de Bonanza (5,000 euros), CEIP Nuestra Señora del Pilar (5,000 euros), CEIP Manuel Riquelme (5,000 euros), CEIP Nuestra Señora de Monserrate (5,000 euros), CEIP Virgen de Monserrate (5,000 euros), EI El Palmeral (5,000 euros), and EI Virgen de Monserrate (5,000 euros).
Finally, for secondary education, vocational training, and special regime studies, 110,500 euros have been allocated. The planned amounts are for CIPFP El Palmeral (25,000 euros), the Official School of Languages of Orihuela (25,000 euros), IES Gabriel Miró (23,000 euros), the School of Art and Higher Design of Orihuela (15,000 euros), IES Las Espeñetas (13,000 euros), and IES Tháder (9,500 euros).
This investment will enable each center to undertake the necessary actions to increase the thermal comfort of its facilities, according to its specific characteristics and needs. The objective is for students and teachers to carry out their daily activities in healthier, safer, and more adequate spaces, thus reinforcing the quality of public education in Orihuela.
