The activity at Cámara Orihuela's Digital Coworking space, located in Orihuela Costa, has grown considerably during the summer of 2026 compared to the same period last year. Recorded data indicates an overall increase of 22.9%, with a 19% rise in July and 36.4% in August.
The president of Cámara Orihuela, Mario Martínez, highlighted the necessity and utility of this space, which is consolidating itself as a reference point for digital nomads, professionals, entrepreneurs, and companies. Martínez points out that the Digital Coworking facilitates spaces for working, training, meeting, and developing projects in an environment that increasingly attracts professionals and individuals seeking adequate workspaces.
During 2026, the Coworking hosted 80 users in its work areas, with 18 engaging in medium or long-term use. Since its launch, the facility has served a total of 379 users. The average satisfaction rating is 4.9 out of 5. The space also serves associations, collectives, and entities in Orihuela Costa, such as neighborhood communities for holding meetings.
Activity has been boosted by the provision of chamber services, with 43 applications from entrepreneurs and SMEs, including 10 projects with a high technological or innovative component. In terms of training, courses from the Talent Joven and Talent +45 programs have been hosted, alongside programs like España Emprende and Business Management and Entrepreneurship Training with Artificial Intelligence Support, funded by the Generalitat Valenciana.
Mario Martínez emphasized Cámara Orihuela's commitment to enhancing and improving this resource, believing in Orihuela Costa's capacity to attract talent and generate opportunities. The challenge is to continue growing and adapting to user needs to make the Digital Coworking increasingly useful.
