The Venancio Costa Pavilion in Almoradí has been completely renovated with an investment of nearly 3 million euros, improving energy efficiency, accessibility, and sports areas.

The Balonmano Almoradí Fajovi Club will play its official presentation match this Saturday, September 19, at the Venancio Costa Pavilion, facilities that have undergone a comprehensive renovation. The project, which involved an investment of approximately 3 million euros, was recently completed after 15 months of execution and benefits from a grant of nearly 1.9 million euros from European Funds, as part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
The rehabilitation has improved roof and enclosure insulation, incorporated solar control measures, and installed high-efficiency energy systems, including photovoltaic panels and aerothermal energy. Accessibility has also been enhanced with a new elevator, electrical systems, water and sewage networks have been renewed, and sports halls and the central court have been refurbished, along with updated sports equipment.
The Mayor of Almoradí, María Gómez, highlighted the importance of this action for improving public facilities and modernizing the sports complex. Meanwhile, the Councillor for Sports, Carmen Berná, emphasized that the renovation provides a boost for the development of municipal sports activities.
The sports event will begin at 6:00 PM with the official presentation of the club's squad, who will face CD Salesianos Elche as part of the III Cristo de las Campanas Trophy. The match will kick off at 7:15 PM.
The pavilion's renovation is part of a larger project that includes the rehabilitation of the former conservatory and the remodeling of the sports area, featuring new courts, parking, an outdoor auditorium, and improved access.
