The Main Square of Sant Jordi will be the venue next Friday, September 26th, starting at 7 PM, for a festive day recreating the atmosphere of Oktoberfest. The event will combine gastronomy, drinks, and music, aiming to foster cultural coexistence and boost tourism in the municipality.
The initiative, organized with the collaboration of the Sant Jordi Town Council, aims to offer an evening of fun open to both residents and visitors. The goal is to transform the Main Square into a meeting point, expanding the local activity calendar with proposals designed to attract everyone.
Mayor Iván Sánchez highlighted the importance of such initiatives in establishing Sant Jordi as a tourist destination and a municipality open to cultural diversity. "Sant Jordi is a diverse town, where people of different nationalities and backgrounds coexist, and this cultural richness is part of our identity," he stated.
Sánchez argued that activities like this Oktoberfest allow for the sharing of "traditions, gastronomy, and different ways of understanding celebration," while also offering leisure alternatives. "We want Sant Jordi to be a vibrant municipality year-round, with activities that allow people to enjoy our public spaces and also bring us closer to other cultures," he added.
This celebration adds to Sant Jordi's schedule of events aimed at enhancing its appeal as a destination and revitalizing the town center, offering an afternoon of food, music, and festive ambiance centered around a well-known German popular celebration.
