The Local Government Board will approve the bases for this call, which will continue the criteria from the previous edition. Once approved, they will be published in the Official Provincial Gazette (BOP), and a 30-day period will open for applications. Aid can reach up to 900 euros per installation, depending on the installed capacity and the established conditions.
The Councilor for Sustainability, Sayo Gandia, highlighted that the aim is to support individuals and entities committed to self-consumption and renewable energies, making the installation of photovoltaic panels more accessible. The City Council intends to maintain a line of aid that responds to citizen demand and promotes a more sustainable energy model.
The guidelines will prioritize participation in collective self-consumption systems and Local Energy Communities (CEL). This approach aims to incentivize formulas that allow the benefits of renewable energy to be shared among multiple individuals, homes, or businesses, expanding access to self-consumption beyond properties with their own installations.
Gandia emphasized that Local Energy Communities are a valuable tool for advancing renewable energy implementation through participation and collaboration. The City Council seeks to foster these collective self-consumption models so that more people can benefit from solar energy, contributing to a more efficient energy system.
This new call continues the municipal initiative from recent years. In 2025, 44 subsidies were approved (20 individual and 24 collective) totaling 27,209.10 euros. The 50,000 euro budget for the new edition will allow continued support for self-consumption projects in the municipality.
In addition to these subsidies, the 50% IBI (Property Tax) discount for 4 years remains active for homes, industries, and businesses that installed solar energy systems and produced at least 20% of their energy consumption. These incentives, which had an impact of 727,000 euros, will be valid until 2027. Including the bonuses for the Construction, Installations, and Works Tax (ICIO) amounting to 146,000 euros, the City Council has provided nearly 1 million euros in incentives for the energy transition. The new competitive tendering system for subsidies broadens the scope for promoting participation in collective self-consumption systems.
