“"It was only right that the users receive an explanation of what is going to be done, just as their families received one before, as they are the direct beneficiaries of the improvements and also because they had to move spaces while these are being carried out."

The Ontinyent City Council has presented the expansion and reform project for the José Antonio Bodoque Municipal Occupational Center, which will involve an investment of 700,000 euros. Mayor Jorge Rodríguez, the Councilor for Policy for People, Paula Soler, and the center's director, Tere Vilaplana, explained the improvements to the users.
The project will add approximately 300 square meters and adapt the center to current needs. Key improvements include the creation of a multipurpose room for rest and activities, as well as new workshops, classrooms, offices, and work areas. The plan also involves reorganizing existing spaces, incorporating adapted services, and renovating facilities with enhancements in accessibility, air conditioning, lighting, and energy efficiency.
The works are estimated to last about ten months. During this period, activities will temporarily move to the UNED building, which will be adapted to ensure the continuity of workshops and services. User transportation routes will remain the same.
