The fire, which started at midday, has shown a complex evolution. According to official sources, although the flames initially behaved more favorably, the rise in temperatures during the central hours of the day caused the fire to intensify, forcing an expansion of the response team.
Currently, three fire crews, four forest brigades, a forest coordinator, a sector chief from the Consorci, and seven forest firefighter units from the Generalitat are participating in the extinction efforts.
The situation is aggravated by weather conditions, as the Generalitat Valenciana has set level 3 pre-emergency for forest fire risk today, which is considered extreme. This situation is due to the heatwave affecting the entire territory, with temperatures reaching 39-40 degrees in both inland and coastal areas.
