The Diputació de València and Fundación Sonora have launched Territori Simfònic, a cultural initiative bringing six concerts by the Caixa Ontinyent Symphony Orchestra to Benimodo, Aielo de Malferit, Utiel, Enguera, Sueca, and Oliva, aiming to decentralize access to culture and highlight heritage.

The first vice-president of the Diputació, Natàlia Enguix, emphasized that this project, in collaboration with Fundación Sonora, uses culture as a tool to connect Valencian regions and build territory. Enguix stated that development policies are built on creating opportunities, activating local resources, and fostering networks, with culture playing a fundamental role.
The tour of the Caixa Ontinyent Symphony Orchestra, under the artistic direction of Roberto Turlo, will commence on Saturday, July 25th, in Benimodo with the concert Essència de Buenos Aires, a fusion of classic tango and orchestral music. The itinerant show will then proceed to Aielo de Malferit (July 29th), Utiel (September 19th), Enguera (September 20th), Sueca (September 26th), and Oliva (October 3rd), all with free admission.
Natàlia Enguix highlighted that the project, subsidized by the Diputació, 'structures the province, decentralizes access to culture, promotes young talent, and transforms our heritage into a living space.' The chosen venues are emblematic sites such as old palaces, monumental buildings, convents, and theaters, which become meeting points between music and the public.
Fundación Sonora, established to manage the Ontinyent Symphony Orchestra and foster musical talent, presented the initiative. Its president, Toni Revert, discussed the challenges of maintaining an orchestra in an inland municipality and the goal of creating a robust structure. Vice-president Lluís Muñoz pointed out the orchestra's 'Learning by doing' philosophy and how the tour will allow them to tackle new challenges with a different repertoire.
The repertoire Essència de Buenos Aires features works by composers such as Carlos Gardel, Richard Galliano, Daniel Perera, and Astor Piazzolla. The tour will include an international ensemble, notably Italian pianist Fabrizio Mocata, Uruguayan bandoneonist Leonel Gasso, and the voice of Italian-Argentine singer Graciela Di Palma, an academic at the Academia Valenciana del Tango.
Mayors and councilors from the participating municipalities, including Paco Teruel (Benimodo), Cristian Verdú (Aielo de Malferit), and Sari Sáez (Sueca), expressed gratitude for the initiative, which brings culture to their towns and emphasizes the symbiosis between music and monumental heritage.
