The project includes six performances by the Caixa Ontinyent Symphony Orchestra in prominent locations in municipalities such as Benimodo, Aielo de Malferit, Utiel, Enguera, Sueca, and Oliva. All events will have free admission and aim to decentralize access to culture and highlight monumental heritage.
The tour will begin on July 25th at the Parc Sant Felip auditorium in Benimodo with the show Essència de Buenos Aires. Under the artistic direction of Roberto Turlo, the repertoire fuses classical tango with symphonic music, featuring international soloists.
As explained by the Sonora Foundation, this initiative allows the orchestra to leave its usual venue, the Echegaray Theatre in Ontinyent, to reach new audiences. The project is part of a broader strategy by the Provincial Council to boost the territory and create cultural opportunities in the interior.
