The event schedule for the October 9th celebration in Agullent includes various cultural and festive activities. Initially planned for early October, some events such as a talk on Valencian Andalusian poets, a Valencian pilota game, and the 76th Green Route «La Penya Foradada from Alcalà de la Jovada: the captives of the Battle of Alcoy» had to be postponed due to predicted rain and thunderstorms, and as a precaution. The Green Route now has a new date set for Sunday, November 8th.
The week leading up to October 9th features an intense schedule. On Wednesday, October 7th, at 7:30 PM, the Town Hall of Agullent's Council Chamber will host the XV Awards Ceremony for the Best Academic Records, aimed at students from ESO, baccalaureate, and vocational training.
On Thursday, October 8th, the celebration continues with the Correllengua starting at 11:30 AM, departing from the CEIP Sant Vicent Ferrer. Students, accompanied by cabuts (giant figures), dolçaines (traditional wind instruments), and tabals (drums), will parade through the town streets to the Font Jordana for a morning of activities. At 9:00 PM, from Plaça d’Espanya, a fireworks display will be launched, which was postponed from this year's September Festivals. The evening will conclude with the traditional Albaes (folk songs) starting from the Plaça Major, followed by a tasting of pastries and sweets by the Ames de Casa d’Agullent (Agullent Housewives Association), and Popular Dances by the Grup de Danses i Cultura d’Agullent (Agullent Dance and Culture Group).
On Friday, October 9th, the Day of Valencians, the program focuses on younger children. The Sala Multiusos (Multipurpose Hall) will host the traditional Mocadorà workshop (a craft activity) at 10:30 AM for kindergarten students and at 11:30 AM for primary school students. Registrations can be made at the Casa de Cultura (Culture House) or by phone. Finally, at 1:30 PM, a parade will begin from the Plaça Major with the Agrupació Musical d’Agullent (Agullent Musical Band), preceding a mascletà (firecracker display) to conclude the October 9th festivities.
