A 32-year-old man, known for habitual delinquency, has been arrested in Gandia after stealing a mobile phone and a printer from a Local Police vehicle and subsequently fleeing from officers.

The incident occurred yesterday afternoon when Christian P. L., a 32-year-old man from Murcia with an extensive criminal record, took advantage of officers leaving their police vehicle parked on the Rosa dels Vents promenade to steal a mobile phone and a printer. These devices are used by officers for data verification and printing fines.
Upon being discovered, the detainee attempted to flee. Given his identity, known to officers for property crimes and assaulting law enforcement officials, all patrols were searching for him along Gandia's beach.
Shortly before 7 p.m., he was located. As officers moved to arrest him, he confronted an officer and fled, jumping across the roofs of parked cars and causing damage to several vehicles. Finally, after several falls, Local Police officers managed to apprehend him.
The detainee was transferred to the National Police station, where the corresponding proceedings were initiated, and he was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
