The Polisònic Festival in Gandia is presenting a double session this weekend that mixes flamenco with African rhythms. The concerts will take place in the garden of the House of Culture in Gandia, starting at 9:30 PM.
On Friday, July 31st, La Jose will take the stage, an artist known for her vocal strength and dancing skills. Daughter of a flamenco dance enthusiast and a man in love with pure cante, La Jose is characterized by a powerful stage presence that fuses elements of flamenco, jazz, soul, Iberian tradition, and music from North Africa and the East.
On Saturday, August 1st, it will be the turn of Kanazoé Orkestra, a band originating from Burkina Faso. They offer energetic music with high musical tension. Led by Seydou Diabaté, a virtuoso of the balafon percussion instrument, they have established themselves as ambassadors of African urban music, with lyrics that promote respect and tolerance.
Tickets for both concerts are available at the House of Culture and via Vivaticket.es, priced at 10 euros. Discounts are offered for holders of the Youth Card or Pensioner Card.
