The Department of Agriculture of the Oliva City Council, headed by Enrique Parra, has announced the start of the fourth phase of the campaign for the treatment of the Mediterranean Fruit Fly. This initiative is open to producers of early varieties of citrus, kaki, and pomegranate.
The Conselleria will provide the product Spinosad free of charge, at a rate of one liter per hectare, for ground bait treatment. The subsidy covers one liter per hectare, equivalent to 12 fanegadas (approximately 10 hectares).
Producers interested in participating in the campaign must register before September 17th. Registration will take place at the Municipal Warehouse, located on the carretera de Pego, s/n, from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Applicants will need to provide information such as their full name, DNI (national ID), municipality, polygon number, plot, and Sigpac parcel number, as well as the plot's surface area in hectares and documentation proving that the plot is planted with an extra-early variety in productive age (e.g., single payment form, insurance).
For any doubts or inquiries, the Department of Agriculture will be available from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Contact can be made via email at agriculturaoliva@oliva.es or by phone at 96 285 02 50 (extension 626) or 673 888 132.
