The Valencian Government, represented by the Councilor for Tourism and Culture, Balbina Sendra, and the festival director, Alfred Sáez, have unveiled the lineup for the Mediterrània Festival. This event, scheduled for Gandia from August 13-15, aims to further establish the city as a prime musical destination during the summer.
Balbina Sendra highlighted the festival's strategic importance for Gandia's cultural, tourist, and economic development. She emphasized that the event transcends music, integrating the city's historical heritage and local culture into a comprehensive "city event" experience. The councilor thanked organizers for their continued commitment to Gandia as the host location and encouraged participation.
Alfred Sáez, in turn, revealed some new features, including an acoustic concert in the courtyard of the Palau Ducal dels Borja featuring the group Valiente Bosque. The "Mediterrània al Carrer" (Mediterrània on the Street) program was also confirmed, with performances by El Niño Jesús, Lisasinson, and Volavent, bringing live music to various urban spaces.
Regarding the main lineup, Sáez praised the artistic quality, featuring prominent names such as Love of Lesbian, as part of their farewell tour, alongside Carlos Ares, Ultraligera, Siloé, Ginebras, and Miss Caffeina. Final schedules will be announced shortly, with adjustments being made to accommodate anticipated high temperatures.
Sendra positioned the festival within Gandia's tourism strategy, identifying music as a key attraction. She stressed the focus on quality experiences, with a format designed for proximity and comfort, avoiding large crowds and commercial circuits, thus offering a refined experience for both audiences and artists.
Finally, Sáez expressed gratitude to the Palau Ducal dels Borja for its collaboration in hosting the presentation and for its ongoing role in a project that unites music, heritage, and the city.
