Safor Teika Athletics Club shines at the Absolute Spanish Championship

Nine athletes from the club competed in the top national event held this weekend in Malaga.

The Safor Teika Athletics Club has concluded its participation in the Absolute Spanish Outdoor Championship, held this past weekend in Malaga, with nine athletes competing.

The organization was represented in various disciplines including sprinting, middle-distance, jumps, and throws. Among the most notable performances, Laura Castillo managed to qualify for the 200-meter semifinals, where she recorded a time of 24.03 seconds.
Other club athletes made their debut at this national event. In triple jump, María Huertas finished in ninth place with a jump of 12.37 meters, while Ariana Gómez reached tenth place in high jump by clearing the 1.70-meter bar.
The summer season closes with a positive balance for the club, which has managed to qualify a total of 55 athletes for the various Spanish championships. According to the sports management, this result confirms the work carried out in the youth academy and technical direction throughout the campaign.
