During the 2025-2026 academic year, the senior program hosted a total of 2,309 students across UPV campuses: 125 in Gandia, 266 in Alcoy, and 1,918 in Vera. The Vice-Rector for Art, Science, Technology, and Society at UPV, Salomé Cuesta, highlighted the objective of providing quality academic training that combines subjects with cultural and outreach activities, responding to students' interest in lifelong learning.
The senior program at the Gandia campus commemorates ten years with an offering that includes two courses, 15 subjects, and two specializations, covering various fields of knowledge. The program's director, Vicenç Almenar, emphasized the importance of personal relationships and the exchange of experiences beyond the classroom.
Among the milestones of the 2025-2026 academic year are the signing of three collaboration agreements: with the Real Academia de Cultura Valenciana, with the Colegio del Arte Mayor de la Seda for the preservation of Valencian cultural heritage, and with the Universidad San Jorge (Zaragoza) to promote an academic exchange program. According to Ana Muñoz, head of the UPV Senior University, these agreements strengthen the program's cultural and collaborative dimension.
With ten years of trajectory in Gandia and 28 at the Vera campus, the UPV Senior University solidifies its role as a space for lifelong learning, cultural participation, and university gathering for individuals over 50.
