The Follow-up Commission of the Territorial Pact for Employment of La Safor, La Safor Emprende, has approved today the strategic lines and the work project for the promotion of employment in the region for the 2027-2028 period.

The meeting, held in Gandia, was attended by the president of the Mancomunitat de Municipis de la Safor, Jordi Puig, vice-presidents Salvador Femenia, Borja Gironés, and Paula Femenia, as well as business representatives such as Ramon Soler (FAES and CEV) and secretary Engracia García. The strategic direction of the Territorial Pact is held by the Gandia City Council.
Trade union representatives UGT-PV and CCOO-PV excused their attendance, but a parallel meeting will be held to report on the agreements and gather consensus on the project.
A balance of results from the 'Employability Shuttle' initiative was presented, and needs such as promoting a transport service to structure the territory and facilitate the connection between job supply and demand were analyzed. The importance of transferring the generated knowledge to the Territorial Council for Vocational Training was also highlighted.
Paula Fayos emphasized the dynamism of the Territorial Pact of La Safor and the importance of a tailored strategy, adapted to the regional characteristics, as well as the need for coordination with LABORA and other territorial pacts.
The continuity of technical teams was addressed as a strategic issue, highlighting the positive reception and citizen trust in the services provided to bring employment, training, and entrepreneurship resources closer to people.
The Pact's coordinator, Aurora Moncho, presented data from 2026: 780 people assisted, 1,234 orientations, 52 workshops, 9 digital skills courses, 171 job placements, and advice for 42 entrepreneurs. The issue of public transport was identified as a key challenge for accessing job and training opportunities.
The development of a report on Vocational Training needs is proposed for presentation to the Territorial Council for Vocational Training of La Safor.
The two Employment Forums promoted by the Pact have been well-received, with 480 participants, and have served to connect companies and citizens, generating job placement opportunities.
The session concluded with a shared commitment to continue working through institutional cooperation and territorial concertation, strengthening coordination among the entities that make up the Pact and advancing in the consolidation of a local development model that is close and adapted to the specificities of La Safor.
