Sollana Celebrates October 9th with Senyera and Traditional Events

Sollana commemorates this October 9th with an extensive program of events including the lowering of the Municipal Senyera, traditional dances, a floral offering, and a mascletà.

The festive day will begin at 11:30 AM with the traditional lowering of the Municipal Senyera from the Sollana Town Hall, followed by traditional dances with 'tabal i dolçaina' performed by Correfolk.
At 11:45 AM, an official procession, including municipal authorities, 'falleras mayores', presidencies of 'comisiones falleras', representatives of local associations, and the Societat Musical La Unió de Sollana, will escort the Senyera to the church of Santa Maria Magdalena for the blessing of the new Senyera.
Subsequently, the procession will proceed to Carrer del Rei En Jaume to lay a laurel wreath, before continuing to Plaça Nou d’Octubre where traditional Valencian dances will be performed at 12:45 PM.
The highlight of the day will be the mascletà, a pyrotechnic display, held at Plaça Nou d’Octubre at 1:15 PM, fired by Pirotècnia Crespo. The celebration will conclude with the return procession and the entry of the Municipal Senyera into the Town Hall.
In the afternoon, at 7:30 PM, the Societat Musical La Unió de Sollana will present the traditional October 9th concert, marking the end of the commemoration.
