An operator suffered burns of varying degrees this Saturday during the construction of breakwaters on the southern beaches of Cullera, near the mouth of the Júcar river.

A worker suffered burns during a workplace accident that occurred this Saturday morning in the construction of breakwaters for the regeneration of the beaches located south of the mouth of the Júcar river, in Cullera. The incident reportedly happened while the worker was handling diesel fuel.
Emergency services were quickly mobilized after a resident alerted them to the significant burns the operator had sustained. Health personnel, firefighters from the Provincial Consortium, and local police officers from Cullera were dispatched to the scene.
An ambulance passing through the area was requested to provide initial assistance before official resources arrived. Subsequently, the operator was urgently evacuated to the Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe in Valencia, where he was admitted to the specialized unit for severe burns.
The exact extent of the injuries and the circumstances that caused the accident have not yet been disclosed.
