The decline in national tile exports worsened in May, registering an 11% decrease amidst a context marked by the conflict in the Middle East and US tariffs. In the cumulative period from January to May, the drop stands at 9%.
The United States leads the retreat, with a 30% drop in its tile purchases during the first five months of the year. Of the ten main destinations for national tiles, sales are suffering in seven markets.
Only Portugal, Greece, and Belgium have seen their tile purchases grow or remain stable during this period, while the rest of the main markets show negative trends.
